Wake County Office Park - Raleigh, NC
Wake County Office Park is a 72 acre Government Center which includes a Library, Agricultural Services Building, and Oak View Historic park. It is a 15 acre farm complex designed through a master plan process with historic preservation as the primary objective. The existing site elements included six historic buildings, a six acre pecan grove, and various remnants of the 19th century farmstead. The master planning process required McNeely Associates PA to coordinate and compile design input from over two dozen interested parties and organizations. McNeely Associates prepared Site Plans and Construction Documents for the site, and provided Construction Administration for public forces and private contractors. Program elements included renovating the existing pecan grove, designing several regionally-specific demonstration gardens, and integrating a new multi-purpose building and cotton museum into the context of the existing Greek revival homestead.
