Mills Park Middle & Elementary Schools - Cary, NC
The Mills Park Schools Campus is a joint effort between the Town of Cary and the Wake County Public School System. McNeely Associates PA worked closely with these two public entities to define the theme "School in a Park". This theme set the definition for programming the needs of the community and development of the Mills Park Campus Master Plan. The Mills Park Middle and Elementary School project site is over 55 acres and has over 50 feet of elevation change. The project includes a two-story elementary school, a three-story middle school, a football/soccer/track facility, a softball field and two multi-purpose fields. A greenway trail provides pedestrian access to all of these amenities.

There are many shared uses throughout the site, such as access points, drives, greenways, athletic fields, service facilities, parking and storm drainage, allowing for a reduced development footprint, a reduced environmental impact, and reduced costs.
